HISTORICAL PERFORMANCE

Below are our firm’s annual consumer investment returns for the past several years. To put these numbers in perspective, we are also providing the returns of the S&P 500 and NASDAQ indices for the same periods as reported in the Wall Street Journal1. We did not include the Dow Jones index because it is not generally used in comparative analysis as it contains only 30 stocks and is therefore not an indication of the broader market. Whereas the S&P contains 500 stocks and the NASDAQ contains 2,781. The returns shown are all Time Weighted Returns (TWR). TWR eliminates the effect of contributions and withdrawals so that it can be more appropriately compared to a market index.
